Apostate America: Persecution and Deception In America

END TIMES: It's later than you think

LIVING IN THE END TIMES:

Part 1 – DECEPTION, PERSECUTION and LIVING IN AMERICA

Armageddon, apocalypse, doomsday: the Corporate Media and the world is throwing around such terms like they know what they mean.  Other terms being used are financial collapse, martial law, FEMA camps, guillotines, martyrdom, end times, revolution and World War III.

But what does the Bible say about such things?

A lot, actually.

We’ll start out this first piece on the subject by examining what the Bible has to say about persecution, deception and living and dying in America during the end times.

PERSECUTION

This writer had two different discussions recently; both which covered the same range of subjects: persecution, living in America and what the Bible says about deception and living in the last days.  What follows is a summary of those two discussions.

1- Many American Christians say one thing, live another.  Either one believes the Bible or one believes what others claim the Bible says.  One either believes we are living in the end times or one doesn’t.

If one is a non-believer, then one doesn’t believe the Bible.  A non-believer may or may not believe we are living in the end times.

BUT, even non-believers can see that something is not right.  Many do not know what that “something that isn’t right” may be, but they know something is making them edgy.  IF they are alert and have some intelligence, they can see what’s going on all around them.  They know there’s trouble coming.

By ruling out the Bible, which perfectly described what is currently happening and gives a perfect blueprint for what is to come, non-believers are forced to rely on what the Corporate Media or other worldly sources tell them.

And those sources will unfortunately prove to be universally wrong. The world has a vested interest in keeping non-believers deceived–and they are extremely good at it.

It’s unfortunate that the one thing that is able to save them (declaring one’s complete trust in Jesus Christ as Lord) is the one thing that many have been deceived into believing is an unthinkable option.

Historically, times of great cataclysm are times when people throw themselves on the mercy of the Lord. However, the Bible says that the current deception is so great that many will remain foes of Jesus until the bitter end–even though the coming cataclysms will be the worst in history.

2- American Christians are anxious, to say the least, about coming persecution.  The Bible states there will be persecution.  Many American Christians seem to be looking over their shoulder at the possibility that they may be called to suffer for the name of Jesus Christ.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
2 Timothy 3:12

This is one concern that the lost may or may not experience.  While there is a great likelihood that the non-believers will also experience death, destruction and tribulation in the very short term–and a 100% chance they will experience it at the very end–they who survive may escape persecution in the short term by swearing allegiance to the Luciferians.

“No one will enter the New World Order unless he or she will make a pledge to worship Lucifer. No one will enter the New Age unless he will take a Luciferian Initiation.”
David Spangler, Director of UN Planetary Initiative, one of the founding fathers of the New Age movement [from 37 Quotes on the New World Order, the Coming one world government and one world religion

NOTE: Spangler later claimed he did not say this–though in his past,  he has said many similar things to this. Contrary to what supporters have written, claiming one has not said something does not “refute” it. For exact wording of Spangler’s original quote and the source, see notes here.]

Of course, the Bible says that all who swear allegiance will secure eternal damnation. But mostly, the lost don’t believe the Bible.  Certainly the Luciferians don’t.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
Revelation 14:9-11

However, it is not only non-believers who do not believe the Bible.  Many Americans who profess to follow Jesus Christ also have started teaching their followers contrary to the Bible.

John MacArthur and 666 Mark of the Beast: Last Days Apostasy

3- American Christians exhibit a range of responses to the idea of facing possible persecution.

  1. Some choose to confront this challenge head-on through the mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  2. Some choose to ignore warnings they receive from other Christians, pretending they don’t believe them–or for any other number of reasons.
  3. Some choose to deny that persecution is possible due to the acceptance of false teachings which contradict the Bible.
  4. Some acknowledge persecution is possible–but not for them.  They will be spared persecution while others in the body of Christ will partake of it. [Manifest Sons of God, etc.]
  5. Some refuse to believe persecution is possible due to confusion of persecution with God’s punishment.

“And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.”
Acts 5:41

“So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:”
2 Thessalonians 1:4-5

“Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.”
1 Peter 4:12-13

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;”
2 Corinthians 4:17

“Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.”
James 5:10-11

“Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.”
1 Peter 4:16

Persecution, Tribulation, Troubles, Trials: What the Bible says to Christians

4- If one is fearful or anxious, one is not fully prepared.  One of the primary reasons is failure to fully submit to God.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
James 4:7

5- Christians are currently suffering martyrdom at the rate of one every 3 minutes throughout much of the world–most notably in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.  Many days, it’s estimated that 500 Christians die for their faith.  Many more who are innocent are being sacrificed.  The unborn are currently bearing the brunt of the slaughter in America.

6- Many in America who profess Christ feel they are blessed because they are not suffering persecution and martyrdom–even though the Bible says a person is not sinning when they suffer physical persecution for the name of Jesus Christ.

“Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
1 Peter 4;1

DECEPTION

7 – America is ground zero for deception.  It is everywhere like a thick, enveloping fog.  This overwhelming deception is practically impossible to escape or to see through.  Actually, without supernatural discernment provided by the Holy Spirit, it is impossible.

It sometimes amazes this writer that there are any Christians at all left in America.

John MacArthur and 666 Mark of the Beast: Last Days Apostasy

8- Jesus warned about this deception.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
Matthew 24:4

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
Matthew 24:11

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”
Matthew 24:24

9-Jesus also clearly warned that the consequences for the deceived are the same as the consequences for the deceiver.

“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
Matthew 15:14

“And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?”
Luke 6:39

10- Yet so many American Christians prefer deception to persecution  The particular challenge for the American Church may be to labor against the overwhelming deception that surrounds them rather than face immediate physical persecution.  They should make the necessary preparations to withstand both deception and persecution.  How likely is it that those who succumb to deception will stand in the face of persecution?

Many prefer facing deception over facing persecution even though the eternal consequences can be completely different.  It’s damnation for the deceived while those persecuted for Jesus receive eternal glory and honor.

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
Mark 8:36

“He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.”
John 12:25

11- Logic, evidence, reasoning, proofs or science will not sway the deceived.  Even God’s Word may not be enough to move the willfully deceived–though Scripture, the Holy Spirit and prayer are the only weapons Christians are to use–and one is to have faith in their eventual triumph.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
Ephesians 6:17-18

HOPE FOR THE FUTURE

12- CONCLUSION: Though believers toil under increasing darkness and there’s occasional frustration at losing so many to the deceptions, Christians are not to lose their peace of mind or their good humor.

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33

We serve an Almighty God who is in control of all things.  Despite the ubiquitous deception, American Christians can take heart, praying to a gracious God to open the eyes of all those who value soul winning and who preach the pure gospel message.

“Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.”
James 5:20

It’s later than you think.

And if one is a Christian who has been beguiled by the teachings of the Modern American Prophecy Industry and Christian mass media, then it is really, truly, no kidding later than you think.

“Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”
2 Peter 1:10

Discernment Inc: Servicing the Apostate Churches

DISCERNMENT INC RECIPE: Lots of rabbit trails and deception; not much gospel of Jesus Christ

DISCERNMENT INC: RECIPE: Lots of rabbit trails and deception; not much gospel of Jesus Christ

    Wandering a Maze of Speculation

    DISCERNING THE HORRIFIC

One of the signs of the times in which we live is the “discernment ministry.”  These organizations started appearing in the early 1990s; they claim to handle one of primary duties of the Holy Spirit: discernment.

Discernment ministries do have several clear functions.

    1. They warn of a few high-profile antichrist deceivers.
    2. They offer much speculation.
    3. They lead potential Christians away from Jesus Christ.
    4. They sell a variety of merchandise (DVDs, CDs, conference packages, books, etc.)
    5. They are silent about particular problems in the churches. For example, they all promote the lie that churches are centers of godly activity.
    6. They offer a wide variety of alternatives to sharing the gospel; offering a maze of rabbit trails in which to the aspiring Christian can easily get lost.
    7. They operate hand-in-hand with apostate churches, popular culture and Christian mass media to promote end times deception.
    8. By engaging with those at the other end of Hegelian dialect, they further the argument/lie that “Criticism is unChristian.” Much time and energy has been expended on this non-argument which gives “discernment ministries” a prime  Raison d’être.    The only ones arguing this point appear to be pretend Christians.

One example: How could Jesus not know the time or the hour?

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
    Mark 13:32

Another “discernment ministry”–AS IF discernment can be outsourced–provides lots of speculation. IF all of the speculation generated by “discernment ministries” was piled on top of each other, the resulting tower would be tall enough so that even the unsaved could see through the discernment racket.

Discernment ministries are there for one reason and one reason only: they lead those who desire to know more about Jesus Christ away from Him.  They provide a maze of rabbit trails for the potential Christian.

Rabbit trails go here, there, and everywhere, and pretty much tend to lead nowhere. (Have you ever watched a dog sniff out a rabbit trail? It wanders in small then wider circles, around and around, feverishly looking for the rabbit – literally, a meal and, figuratively, the point of one’s argument.) No one knows what’s at the end of a rabbit trail (the point of one’s argument). Is there even an end to it? It’s a confusing maze of pointless leads. In short, a rabbit trail leads (us) nowhere. It serves only to confuse the prey/the reader. It keeps them preoccupied and confused.

The above is a perfect description of the MO of”discernment ministries–which are not to be found in the Bible and which began popping up in the early ’90s like mushrooms after a rain.

A SIGN OF THE APOSTATE CHURCH

Do true believers need a “discernment ministry?”

Not if the reader is truly saved.  IF the reader is truly saved, the Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth–not your friendly neighborhood discernment ministry.

“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
    John 16:13

Now, there’s nothing wrong with warning believers of pitfalls: that’s biblical. But there’s nothing in God’s Word about outsourcing “discernment” to someone’s ministry.

Are you listening to the blah-blah-blah of wolves and deceivers? Can you quote men but not the Bible?

Is your calling and election sure?

Apostate Church is Breaking Every Chain

The Apostates are declaring that they are breaking their chains.

“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”
    Psalm 2:2-3

The Bible warns of the lawlessness of the end times; that the last days will be a time of no restraint; of casting off the cords of civilized society. Of rejecting the restraints placed on man’s evil heart by God and His Anointed, Jesus Christ.

So it makes sense Satan and his apostate church are proclaiming: “We are breaking the chains!”

The apostate churches are excited.  They believe the time of Jesus is past.  The Age of Man (and the man of sin) is here.

The apostates many times try to put their proclamations into another context. But some no longer attempt to hide it. The last days are days of lawlessness and of breaking whatever it is that restrains the wickedness of men: bands, cords or chains.

Whenever you hear someone proclaiming they are “breaking the chains,” they are speaking of fulfilling the last days’ events of Psalm 2.

Day by day, one can hear the chains falling.

However, there is more to Psalm 2 than just the first three verses.

“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.”
    Psalm 2:4-5

Apostate America: A Counterfeit Church full of Counterfeit Christians

THE END TIMES CHURCH: Counterfeit Christians

    COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANS

    TARES AMONG THE WHEAT

Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
    Matthew 13:24-25, 28-30, 42

The American Church is the epitome of confusion. Why does the reader believe this to be?

“For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.”
    1 Corinthians 14:33

So if God is not the author of confusion, how is it that the churches are full of it?

There’s really a very simple explanation.

    Tares.

The majority of people who sit in churches across the USA are not saved.  This is one reason so many churches are so devoid of discernment.  This is one reason that popular topics in the churches are atheists, satanists and homosexuals: because even apostates and the lost can tell these are not from God. No discernment is necessary.

These topics allow the lost to believe they can distinguish between good and evil.  But discernment is not knowing good from evil–even the lost can tell good from evil.  Discernment is being able to distinguish between good and almost good; between good and Satan’s counterfeit of good.

1 in 3 Americans (not 1 in 3 churchgoers; 1 in 3 Americans) claim they are “born again” believers despite all proof to the contrary. In 21st century America, a person can travel the wide road to destruction, all the while believing they are saved.

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
    Matthew 7:14

Where Jesus says “Few,” the wolves in the American pulpits proclaim: “Many!”

Where Jesus says “Forsake all,” Americans are comforted with tales of “God wants you to be rich.”

“So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.”
    Luke 14:33

Again, tares are the problem–as Jesus warned they would be. The churches are filled with tares–especially in the pulpits.    And among the teachers in the church.  And in the “Christian mass media.”

    But especially among the pew-sitters.

    Tares.

Among this vast number of lost souls, there is a significant number who are consciously working for the enemy but pretending to be Christians.  Questioning doctrines, promoting the corrupting of the Word of God, spreading confusion, supporting the wolves in the pulpit (especially supporting the wolves in the pulpit. Many wolves would have been long gone in some venues if not for the support of infiltrators), using their lives as a testimony for sin, telling others it’s okay to disobey God–the list goes on.

    Tares.

Always eager to direct anyone threatening to blossom into a true believer to another deceiver. The webs of deception spun by the wolves, apostates and the tares are long, dark and deep.

Perhaps that is why there is so little talk of Jesus Christ?

Modern American Testimony: No Jesus, No Christ

The corruption has reached such a point that the churches are now ready for the man of sin.

And the man of sin is coming.

    BIBLE PROPHECY

When the subject of “Bible prophecy” comes up, so many of the lost want a chart, a timeline, a nice easy list to remember.  It doesn’t matter if it lines up with the Bible or not.  What they want to know: does it line up with what the popular culture says will happen in the end times?

That’s another job of the tares: to promote these non-biblical narratives among the lost in their congregations.

“Just give me something I can use!  Just give me something I can remember!”

Here’s something easy to remember: the man of sin is coming and probably everyone with a chart, a timeline or one of those handy lists will be sitting in the man of sin’s whore church celebrating.

    Count on it.

    (Because it’s in the Bible.)

Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy: Deceiving Men Away from Jesus

    TARES

    Tares.

The pews and pulpits are full of tares.  The churches are full of confusion. It’s taken Satan 2000 years, but he has counterfeited the Christian Church so that the visible church is rotten.

Satan Has Counterfeited the Christian Church

Rest assured: Jesus will always have the Body of Christ; the real Church; the remnant.  We can be confident of that.

“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
    Matthew 16:18

The reader may rightly ask: is there anything to be done?

To begin with, God’s Word is true. The Bible is not very encouraging about the state of the churches when Jesus comes back. We are seeing proof positive that God’s Word is true concerning the end times. The true believer is always preparing; always picking up his cross; always separating from the world and the things of the world.

So what’s the Bible say to do?

    Share the gospel.

    1. Read God’s Word.
    2. Watch.
    3. Pray always.
    4. Pray to not be deceived.
    5. Love not your life unto death.

Don’t expect to “turn things around” or “take back the church” or any of the other unbiblical advice being promoted.  God’s Word is clear: it doesn’t get better (until the return of Jesus), it only gets worse (for the true believer).

Prepare–and don’t count on the corporate church for any help.

Sadly, the American churches have become little more than a mission field: a fertile field in which to preach the gospel and win lost souls to Jesus Christ.

In the times in which we live, it’s the remnant which will be preaching the gospel–and only the remnant.

The remnant will have to preach the gospel.

It’s for certain the tares won’t do it.

Is your calling and election sure?

    APOSTATE AMERICA:

    AN END TIMES CHURCH

A POWERFUL AMERICAN CHURCH IS RISING UP

A Great Falling Away which will Look Like a Great End Times Revival is only Beginning

    The Death of Christianity

The preceding article prompted a few observations about a movement within the Christian Church which is spreading rapidly.  More can be found about this movement at Bridal Eschatology.  The movement, its doctrine and its stated purposes dovetail nicely with Scripture, Bible prophecy and end times current events.

The Death of Christianity – Written by a professed Christian, and yet an article which is meant to play upon the pride, doubts and fear–as well as a few lesser sins–which reside in those Christians who read it.  Its theme of “Compromise or die!” has become a common chorus among those pretend Christians who the Bible says become “mockers and scoffers” in the last days.

Such pieces seem to be aimed–not at true believers (who are to walk by faith not experiences) but at the Supper Club Christian. Those who desperately want Christianity to be like a dinner party with lots of eating and drinking and enjoying this present life (which of course includes their Church) with lots of shiny happy people like themselves.

“And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.”
    Luke 21:16-17

Before their very eyes they are watching what they believe to be Christianity slip away.  They know Jesus promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church–but they will admit: they’re worried.  They see evil running rampant through all America, led by the very public sins of homosexual marriage, abortion and Pride; people are waxing worse and worse–and they know events are just getting started.

    Luke 21:16-17 sounds so ghastly!

And so they welcome any confirming experience of God’s mighty power.

They have one eye on the eastern sky and another looking over their shoulder at what appears to be a gathering victory parade of the wicked.

And so, it’s with relief that they watch it arise: a mighty prayer-driven Church, wielding power like a great warrior of God–and representing THEM.  Led by loyal Americans and true Christians who will make them Proud to be Christians–Proud to be Americans!

What needs to arise from the ashes of the Emerging Church

Instead of worrying about insults and the long-whispered persecution, their Church will be strong, respected and have the support of the the American government!   Why, even the top leaders will be very Proud and very public members of this world-conquering Church.

    Finally.

This Church will especially appear as a Godsend to those Christians who had placed their hopes on escaping what the Bible had clearly said they must face.  When staring into that unthinkable abyss–Left Behind!–this Church and its power will seem to be a lifeline from God Himself.

And this Church will say all the right things.  In some cases, the very same things they themselves have been saying.

Lila Rose: The Church must Rise Up because This is Our Nation

And what the Church will do will line up with the events which American Christians have been taught will happen in the end times–and the Church wins!

It will win over non-believers, over atheists, over Muslim terrorists.  Over the obviously apostate prosperity preachers; over the purpose-driven techno-religious numbers-crunchers; over the heresies which issue daily from Christian TV.

Why this Church will even triumph over that end times bad guy: The AntiChrist!  This Church will rescue Christianity–or so the people sitting in its pews will think.  This Church will not only rescue Christianity, it will rescue the good old USA–and everyone knows what a Christian nation the United States is and always has been.

This Church will clearly be a winner.

Everyone loves a winner.  Especially the world.

“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”
    Matthew 24:9

THIS Church will be the way they were taught “it used to be;” a return to a “country founded as a Christian nation.”  Hey, weren’t we founded on Judeo-Christian principles?  Why sure!  What does it matter that most of the founders couldn’t stand Jesus?  Everyone knows that we were dedicated to God Himself!

FINALLY!  This will be the Christianity of which many have long dreamed.

Lt. General (Ret.) W.G.Jerry Boykin: The Church must Rise Up

Respected.  In charge.  The warrior Church, cleansing the earth of heresy and non-belief.  Moving from triumph to triumph, from earthly glory to glory. Crushing the nations–as the true representative of Jesus, of course–all the while singing loudly as it’s accomplished.

Christians Must Become Militant If They Are To Survive

Yes, this Church will indeed be popular.  Popular beyond words.

“Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”
    Luke 13:23-24

There’s going to come a time soon when professing American Christians will belong to a Church that they believe honors Christ; which gives them access to great power and miracles and which unmistakeably demonstrates that power for the whole unbelieving world to see.  They will watch with tears in their eyes as the world flocks to fill their buildings.

Meanwhile, many of the obviously apostate mega-churches will not fare so well.

The revival so long talked about–so long hungered for–will at last be a reality.  And it will be HUGE.  It will be worldwide and people of every kindred, tongue and nation will gladly convert.

Truly, it will be amazing.  Everyone loves a winner–and this Church will certainly be a winner. The whole world will seemingly be on fire and passionate for this Church and for the very Presence of God which will manifest.

This Church will rise up, shake its fist and declare, “Who’s dead?  Not us!  We’re not dead!

Where will all the mockers and scoffers be then?  And the naysayers–such as this writer: what of them?

They will be put under the feet of the Church, who will proclaim itself to be the true representative of Christ on earth–and not just any representative (that sounds too much like the obviously apostate pope).  This Church will be the Bride of Christ herself!  Justified by combat for its god; confirmed  through victory–and that victory will include cleansing the earth, purging the planet of any who don’t get with the Church’s straight-from-god program.

    FINALLY.

The wildest dreams of many American Christians will have come true.

“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”
    Revelation 13:11

And not so very many months afterwards, their wildest dreams will be revealed to be nothing more than one long nightmare.

“What luck for rulers that men do not think.”
    Adolph Hitler

“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
    Revelation 13:7

“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.”
    Revelation 19:1-3

“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
    James 1:5

“For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.”
    Ecclesiastes 1:18

    “Ignorance is bliss.”
    Thomas Gray
